A tiny pup, estimated to be between three and four weeks of age, was abandoned outside of an animal shelter in Sacramento, California, earlier this week. According to the Sacramento SPCA, the tiny pup was left in a crate outside of their shelter facility on Wednesday.
The shelter introduced its Facebook followers to the female pup on Thursday morning, “The puppy found abandoned in the cold yesterday morning is learning about the good life today: heated bed, full tummy and lots of love!”
Multiple people have inquired about adopting the pup, but she is still too young. Right now, those following the puppy’s Facebook post are wondering what breed she is – the top two suggestions seem to be Chihuahua and pit bull, with some people throwing in possibilities ranging from boxer or Rottweiler, to a pug mix. The shelter address the breed controversy on Thursday:
She has a lot of teeth already, which the “Team Chihuahua” club is saying makes her too small for a Pittie mix, but “Team Pittie” is saying that the big head is a giveaway. Maybe we’re all wrong! There is only one member of “Team Chug.”
Regardless of her breed, she is now in good hands and she will undoubtedly be adopted out to a new, loving family as soon as she is old enough.
