Update 2/6/16: Skye was rescued by NW German Shepherd Rescue after a foster home was secured.
A beautiful German shepherd, just three years of age, is quickly running out of time at an animal shelter in Western Washington. An area rescue agency is hoping to rescue the dog, named “Skye,” but they do not have an available foster home to take her in.
Earlier this week, the rescue group wrote, “Check out this gentle, beautiful, sweetheart of a girl. Skye is an adorable 3 year old female who has had a bit of a rough start in life. She’s patiently waiting for that FOREVER, loving home to come along. With proper introduction, Skye can probably make friends with other dogs.”
The rescue agency added, “Skye is initially shy at first, but warms up fairly quickly to steady, predictable, love and attention. She could use a little work walking on lead and manners, but with a bit of patience from a caring individual or family, this lovely gal will blossom in no time at all!”
The group hoping to pull this beautiful shepherd to safety is the Northwest German Shepherd Rescue. If you are interested in opening your home to Skye, please reach out to the rescue group at firstname.lastname@example.org
