Stay active! Even though most of us tend to stay inside during the harsh weather and would rather curl up on the sofa than go outside, it is still beneficial to keep an active routine. There are actually many outdoor activities that can be fun during the winter such as skiing, snowboarding or ice skating. If you dont’ live in a snowy area, maintaining an active lifestyle ~ especially if you’re used to exercising outside ~ can be invigorating. Bike riding, walking or running are certainly activities that can be done year ’round!
Take care of your skin. The dry winter air can play havoc with not only your skin but also with your health. A great moisturizer can be a lifesaver during the winter as well as a humidifier in the home. For those that prefer a more natural way to moisturize, things like essential oils are an excellent alternative. Coconut Oil or Argan Oil are very moisturizing and both are all-natural, not to mention that Coconut Oil has a million other awesome uses!
So, while taking care of yourself during the winter is important, it’s also nice to cuddle up with a warm or spicy beverage to take care of the chill!
