On tonight’s episode of “Wicked Tuna,” the fishermen of Gloucester, Massachusetts are in the hunt once again to catch the biggest and largest quantity of their prize bluefin tuna. Often they have a fish on the line for hours, only to lose it when it pulls the hook or the line snaps. See what other troubles befall these warriors on this episode titled, “May the Fish Be with You.”
As the episode begins, Pin Wheel is leading the pack, and everyone will be gunning for him. The Erin & Sarah boat is staying close to home to catch up to the Gloucester boys. As they have a fish on the line early in the morning, Erin wakes up to the commotion complaining about not getting enough sleep. Her father has always told her that she can sleep when she is dead.
At Stellwagen Bank, Paul Hebert and Paul Carraro are cajoling with each other over the radio as a huge sunfish is making eyes at Paul. On the Hard Merchandise, the guys are talking about Star Wars, and how much they love the characters and choose names for them, and the other captains based on the cast.
On the Wicked Pissah, they pull in an 85-incher and they are happy. The Dot.Com hears a reel spin, and Sandro takes over. When Jordie takes the reel, they pull it in. It measures 89 inches, and both boats are alone out there. Dot.Com wants to tell TJ, because he owes him the favor, but Paul tells him not to tell TJ because he knows too many people. Paul overhears Dave giving TJ the scoop, and his ears are bleeding. As the Hot Tuna arrives at Stellwagen, Paul sees them and is pissed. In no time, they are on. There is a problem, the fish is tail wrapped, and they could lose him, but the tuna gods are on their side, and they bring him over the rail, all 95 inches of him.
At the dock, Wicked Pissah’s fish weighs 254 pounds and pays $11 for $2,794. Dot.Com brings theirs in at 332 dressed. This one pays $17 for $5,644. TJ followed in with their 334 pounder that paid $18 for $6,192. Paul is still annoyed because tomorrow Stellwagen will be filled with boats.
The Hard Merchandise is fishing with the whales; it is usually a good sign when whales are present and sure enough, they get a bite. He must be a monster because he is taking all the line. Finally, he is tired and gives up the fight, over the rail he goes, proving that last year’s win was not a fluke.
The Pin Wheel is now with a fish on the line, and another one comes over their rail. The Erin & Sarah is ready to do anything to catch a fish. Erin was ready to go in the water just to lure one in. This one is difficult, but they manage to bring all 94 inches of him in. Brandon had to kiss the fish, because he did not believe that there was such a thing as the tuna gods. They brought it right to the dock, and he weighed 351 and paid $17 giving them a nice paycheck of $5,967. Pin Wheel’s fish weighed 163, only paid $9, but a paycheck nonetheless, of $1,567. Right behind was the Hard Merchandise with a 460 pounder that paid $18 for $8,280.
Back on the Erin & Sarah, it is Erin’s turn to pay the tuna gods. She took a jump and stayed in for a while. They love her on the boat because she is a good sport and lots of fun to have around on this episode of “Wicked Tuna.”
