Three years ago, Tai Chi Sifu Vladimir Sidorov came to St. Louis and charmed Tai Chi enthusiasts with his amazing Dan Tian power. Two years ago, Sifu Kai Hung Lau came and explained how to enhance one’s Silk Reeling capability by exercising Tai Chi Bang. Now at the invitation of Sifu Justin Meehan, both Sifus are coming to St. Louis next week to share their valuable knowledge and skills.
Born in Russia, Sifu Sidorov was a student of late Chen Style Xin Yi Hun Yuan Grandmaster Feng Zhiqian and a disciple of Master Pan Houcheng of China. He was a Push Hands champions multiple times due to his internal power (or Nei Gong) and trained many students who won competition titles.
Born in China, Sifu Kai has a long passion for Tai Chi. He has been studied with some of the best Tai Chi masters of our time, which include the Four Warriors of Chen Tai Chi Grandmasters Zhu Tiancai, Chen Zhenglei, Chen Xiaowang, and Wang Xian, Chen Style Grandmaster Chen Qingzhou, and Grandmaster Chen Zhengzhong of Hong Kong, late Grandmaster Feng Zhiqiang (1928-2012), and Grandmaster Zhang Xuexin. He is well versed in Tai Chi principles. He has internalized the Tai Chi theories into his practice and shared with many students.
Sifu Meehan announced that Vlad would arrive St. Louis on April 5th and leave in the evening of April 10th. During his staying, he will be teaching a few private group lessons for the advanced Hun Yuan practitioners. Nevertheless, he will be available for private lessons on April 6 and April 8. Sifu Vlad will teach open group classes at Sifu Herb Parran’s Tai Chi school (5619 Pershing, St. Louis) on Saturday April 9th with the following schedule:
- 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. Nei Gong, Tai Chi Stick, and Push Hand 1st Routine
- 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. Nei Gong, Tai Chi Stick, and P/H 2nd Routine (Must take class 1 to take 2nd class)
Sifu Vlad is very generous and will host a free group class at 3:30 – 4:30 pm on Sunday April 10th at Sifu Herb’s school. He will be speaking on Tai Chi history, philosophy, and Nei Gong, and answer questions.
Sifu Kai will arrive St. Louis on April 9th. He will host a private group class with the advanced Hua Yuan practitioners on Monday April 11th .
Sifu Meehan stated that there is no cost for any of the open group classes but he suggested a $25 donation for one class only and $40 for two classes.
