Sunday’s Warriors vs. Rockets live stream online and televised Game 4 of the 2016 NBA Playoffs arrives with Golden State having lost a close one in the third meeting. A late James Harden fall away jumpshot was the difference maker in a one point Houston win, which the league later said shouldn’t have counted due to Harden’s push off. Now the Warriors try to regroup and avoid being tied 2-2 against a team many thought they’d sweep. The return of reigning NBA MVP Stephen Curry to the lineup could certainly help their cause as the 2016 NBA live streaming and televised action comes via ABC and ESPN.
The USA Today site reported on April 23 that Stephen Curry is expected to play in Sunday’s Game 4 after being sidelined for two games with a hurt right ankle. Curry had tweaked the ankle during his team’s Game 1 home victory and had to leave the court and hit the lockers for medical attention. He would later return to the bench, but stayed there for the rest of that game, a Game 2 win and then the Game 3 loss. Now he’s returning with his team up 2-1 after a very close loss in the last game. The Warriors nearly had it where they could have swept their opponents without their superstar in the lineup.
For the Rockets, they’ll hope that Curry is still gimpy on that right ankle and that Harden can work some more magic. The league’s second-leading scorer this past season behind Curry, scored 35 points in the team’s 97-96 victory several days ago. Harden was 11-for-26 from the floor and 9-of-11 from the charity stripe. Marcus Speights was the high-scorer for Golden State, scoring 22 off the bench, while Klay Thompson had just 17 and Shaun Livingston 16 points in Curry’s absence. Dwight Howard and Donatas Motiejunas each had double-doubles for the winning side with scoring and rebound contributions.
Houston beat the odds in Game 3, but how will they handle the fourth game of the series on their home court and with Curry back on the floor? The Rockets are currently listed as nine point underdogs on the Vegas Insider consensus, while the over/under is at 217-1/2 points for the complete game. Against the spread this season, Houston is just 15-25-1 at home but they’ve gone 19-13 as the underdogs ATS. Golden State is 43-31-2 as the favorite and 22-18-1 when playing away. They’ll be -450 favorites on the moneyline today with Houston a +375 home underdog straight up.
