Thursday’s Warriors vs. Rockets Game 3 live stream online and televised coverage will feature Houston back at home trying to solve the puzzle that is Golden State. They were unsuccessful in their attempts with the team’s star player, Stephen Curry, sidelined in Game 2 and now will need to find a way to win to prevent the reigning champs from going up 3-0 in the series. The Rockets were able to stay relatively close but never led in the first two games. In the latest loss, it was Klay Thompson putting in 34 points to lead his team to victory. Game 3 of the 2016 NBA live streaming and TV playoff games arrives via the TNT networks Thursday night.
According to SF Chronicle in their April 20 report, it was unknown as of Wednesday if Stephen Curry would play in tonight’s matchup in Houston. The latest injury reports indicate Curry is “out” once again for the next game, as his team holds a 2-0 series lead and wants to stay cautious. Curry sat out of Game 2 several days ago, but his teammates were able to step up as the reigning NBA MVP cheered them on from the bench. Golden State’s deep roster was apparent in Curry’s absence, as Shaun Livingston had 16 points filling in for the injured guard. NBA Finals MVP Andre Iguodala also came off the bench to add 18 points. Andrew Bogut and Draymond Green had 10 and 12 points, respectively.
Curry practiced with the team, participating in the shootaround the other day and feels ready to go, although head coach Steve Kerr considered his star player “still questionable.” That could leave the door open for Houston to possibly grab a game and get themselves back into this series Thursday night. With homecourt advantage, James Harden will once again try to shoulder the load and hope for help from teammates including Dwight Howard. The big man showed his brilliance in previous playoff games with the Orlando Magic, but has yet to help lead his newest teams any further than the first round. Howard had 12 points and 10 rebounds in the team’s Game 2 loss, so look for either Howard, or an unsung hero to step up if the Rockets can get this win.
Golden State is still a six-point favorite to win in tonight’s contest at Houston. Against the spread, the Warriors are 43-31-2 as favorites and 22-18-1 on the road this season. Houston has been 19-13 as the underdog team, and a disappointing 15-25-1 at home. On the moneyline, they’re -220 favorites with Houston at +190 as the home underdog. The over/under points total is set at 216 for the complete game tonight. Golden State continues to lead all teams on the future odds to win the NBA title with odds of 4 to 7 at Vegas Insider, while Houston is still a huge longshot at 2000 to 1.
