The Warriors vs. Lakers live stream online and TV coverage of the 2016 NBA matchup Sunday features the league’s reigning MVP Steph Curry as he pays a visit to the superstar likely passing him the torch. Kobe Bryant is playing in his final season, and his Los Angeles team is far from the top notch teams of his previous championship years. However, he’ll still continue saying his farewells to the league and its next generation of talented stars. Questions are lingering over whether or not either Curry or Bryant will be in the game as Kobe’s “farewell tour” of the league continues. The 2016 NBA live streaming online and televised game coverage will arrive thanks to ABC and ESPN on Sunday afternoon.
According to ESPN.com in their March 5 game preview, the Golden State Warriors will look to win their fourth game this season against Los Angeles on Sunday, making it a perfect sweep. Adding insult to injury is the fact that the games have been so lopsided that All-Star players Steph Curry, Draymond Green and Klay Thompson have tallied a combined three minutes played in all of those wins’ fourth quarters. They’re now looking to improve their record to a staggering 56-5 on the season with another win against the team with the worst record in the Western Conference. Golden State will need to go 19-4 in their remaining games in order to break the all-time single season best record set by the 1995-96 Chicago Bulls.
The Los Angeles Lakers (12-51) are clearly NBA Draft lottery bound once again, in search of the next great superstar to possibly replace the retiring Kobe Bryant. As they enter this game, LA has just one victory in their last 10 games. That win came two games ago at home against a struggling Brooklyn Nets team 107-101. Kobe Bryant was sitting out that game with a sore shoulder but rookie D’Angelo Russell took up the slack, scoring a game-high 39 points to lead the team to victory. The Lakers followed that game with a loss at Denver 117-107 and then were routed 106-77 at home by the Atlanta Hawks. Kobe Bryant sat out that game as well, also to rest his sore shoulder and has missed three of the team’s last four contests.
Odds makers first listed Golden State as 14-1/2 point favorites on the road at Staples Center for Sunday’s game, although Stephen Curry and Kobe Bryant are both question marks as of this report. In terms of beating the spread, the Warriors are 35-23-1 overall and 19-14-1 away, while the Lakers are 30-33-0 overall and just 13-15 at home ATS. The over/under point spread will be around 219 points for the game. On the future odds list, bettors won’t find Los Angeles even mentioned as a potential champion due to their poor record already having them out of the playoffs. However, Golden State remains the overall favorite to win it all with odds of 5 to 8.
