On April 25, Walt Disney World announced its special offers for late summer and fall 2016 travel. Once again, these discounts include the popular Disney Free Dining option.
Disney has also released other room-only and package discounts during this fall travel period.
With Free Dining, guests book a non-discounted room and ticket package at available resorts during select dates, and receive the Disney Dining Plan at no extra charge. Tickets must include the Park Hopper or Water Park Fun & More option.
Guests who book a hotel stay at a participating Disney Moderate Resort, Disney Deluxe Resort or Disney Deluxe Villa Resort – and which has availability for their dates of stay – will receive the standard Disney Dining Plan. Guests who book at an available Disney Value Resort will receive the Quick-Service Dining Plan for free.
Disney Free Dining for fall 2016 is valid for arrivals most nights on the following dates:
- Aug. 23 – Oct. 1, 2016
- Nov. 15-Nov. 21, 2016
- Nov. 26-Nov. 28, 2016, and
- Dec. 10-Dec. 21, 2016
Note: Disney Visa cardholders have a longer valid dates of stay window, one which covers the dates of Aug. 14 through Aug. 22, 2016.
If available, guests may book Free Dining between today and July 8. For more information or to make reservations, visit the Walt Disney World website, call (407) 939-7524, or contact a travel agent who specializes in Disney travel.
As with other Disney special offers, Free Dining comes with limitations and restrictions. Guests must book a minimum of a three-night stay, up to a maximum 14 nights. The Disney Dining Plan excludes Dining plan excludes tips and alcoholic beverages. All guests in the room must be on the same package, and children (ages 3-9) must order from the children’s menu at restaurants, if available. This offer may not be combined, or “stacked,” with other discounts.
Disney Free Dining is not available at all Disney resorts. It excludes the following accommodations: Fort Wilderness campsites, three-bedroom villas, The Little Mermaid standard room at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, and the Bungalows at Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows. The Dining Plan is also unavailable at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotel and at Shades of Green, as these are not official Walt Disney World Resort hotels.
In addition to Free Dining, there are three Disney late summer and fall 2016 offers for members for the general public. Guests may select a room-only discount (note: tickets may be added to the package) instead of Free Dining. Disney is also offering two room-with-tickets packages for Disney’s All-Star Resort, a Value Resort.
“Back to School Savings” is a room discount of between 15% and 25% off at select Walt Disney World Resort hotels, valid for stays most nights between Aug. 26 and Nov. 5, 2016. This special offer must be booked by Aug. 31, 2016.
“Early Fall Kid-Size Package” provides a package with a minimum of three nights at Disney’s All-Star Resorts and two-day theme park tickets. It is valid for hotel stays on most nights between Aug. 1 and Nov. 5, 2016. It also must be booked by Aug. 31, 2016
Walt Disney World has also released a “Late Summer Family Time” package. This package discount provides a four-day and four-night stay for a family of four in a standard room at Disney’s All-Star Resorts and includes a four-day Magic Your Way base ticket for each guest in the traveling party. Other, longer lengths of stay may be available with this package. It, too, must be booked by Aug. 31, 2016.
These 2016 Walt Disney World special offers, as with Free Dining and the current summer offers, have limited availability and restrictions. Check with the Disney website for details and phone numbers.
