Update! He was adopted! Here is a link to his freedom picture! The adopters read this article (thanks to everyone who shared it!) and they went to get him. Sharing truly does save lives!
A dog is going to die Monday. He has no name, he has no history. All he has is a sweet, affectionate personality and handsome Labrador retriever good looks. The shelter is filled to capacity and black dog — no matter how sweet — are always the last to be adopted.
This loving, funny dog is in Clayton County, Georgia, and he is slated to be killed on Monday. Volunteers are heartbroken that this very adoptable, young and friendly dog will be killed.
Watch his video. His tail wags, he loves getting treats (it’s that Lab blood — food, food, food!), and he loves getting attention (when the treats are gone). Seriously, he is a great dog with a fabulous personality. A fundraiser for him named him Ragnar. He’s only between two and three years old.
Please share his story. His only hope to be saved is for someone, somewhere to read his story and decide to help him. He can be adopted or pulled by rescue. Please don’t let this young dog — who has so much life to live — be killed.
He is ID#160334. There may be more information on his Facebook thread. He is located at Clayton County Animal Control, 1396 Government Circle, Jonesboro, GA 30236. Their phone number is 770-477-3509. The shelter is open Monday through Saturday from 8:00 am to 3:45 pm. You can email the rescue coordinator at email@example.com.
