As the world knows, this week is HUGE for the immediate north Texas area. WWE is bringing its annual WrestleMania spectacular to AT&T Stadium on Sunday, with a weekend stacked full of activities beginning on Thursday. But in case you don’t get your wrestling fix on the grandest stage, VIP Wrestling has your ticket late Sunday night.
Immediately following the WWE event, VIP Wrestling will be hosting a big card at the Knights of Columbus in Arlington. An incredible late night of matches are scheduled, for an event simply named as the “Mania After-Mania Party.” And there are quite a few recognizable faces you’ll see at the show.
Former WWE NXT star Sam Callahan (Solomon Crowe) will step into the ring against current Ring of Honor star Raymond “Death” Rowe and “Dirty” Andy Dalton, as they square off for the VIP Heavyweight Championship. Rowe got a lot of notoriety in south Texas before getting signed to ROH. Dalton will no doubt be looking to put a major stamp of shock on the Lone Star State, if he could pull off the victory.
The Killer Elite Squad (Lance Hoyt/Archer and Davey Boy Smith Jr.) will step into the ring against one of the most destructive tag teams in Texas, the Prety Boy Killers (Keith Lee and Shane Taylor). Hoyt is a Dallas native, but has been spending an absurd amount of time with his partner Smith in Japan, leaving a trail of bodies all over their wrestling scene. This will likely not be as much of a technical classic as it will be an all-out dogfight. Viewer discretion will most definitely be advised in this war.
There will be a six-person mixed tag match, billed as “Texas vs. The World.” Jessica James, Barrett Brown, and Danny “Cherry” Ramons” will face off against Candace LaRae, Joey Ryan, and Johnny Gargano. Ryan, a former TNA star, has been making quite the online name for himself in recent months, for a number of reasons. He and Ramons recently faced off in a singles match, and will likely continue that battle in this incredible contest.
There will also be a special battle royal, where the winner will face off against WWE legend Jake “The Snake” Roberts. Some of the names already included are Sinn Bodhi (formerly known as Kizarney in WWE and as Sinn in the early TNA days), “The American Gangster” Lou Gotti Sterrett, Marcus Rose, Jaxon Stone, Lazarus, and several others.
Tack onto that lineup a VIP Wrestling Tag Team Title match, and you have the makings of a great night of post-WrestleMania action. In addition to all of this, you will also get a DJ spinning throughout the night, as well as a full bar. And if you’re worried about a long drive, don’t be…the Knights of Columbus is just a 10 minute drive from AT&T Stadium!
