Are you a vegan, vegetarian, or veg-curious person? Then you may be interested to learn about an event happening in downtown Frederick this Saturday, April 23. It’s the Veg Out street fair food festival, and it will take place between the hours of 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. in Frederick’s historic district.
A first of its kind, Veg Out Frederick offers a wonderful opportunity for all people to come out to sample, taste, and experience vegan cuisine offerings. Whether you are a strict vegan/vegetarian or a person interested in learning more about the health benefits of a plant-based diet, this is the perfect way to come out and learn the truth behind how delicious vegan cuisine can be, along with discovering unique and tasty recipes that offer a healthier and more humane, meat-free take on your favorite foods.
Many downtown businesses will be presenting a wide array of various plant-based edible eats at this street fair setup. In addition to scrumptious vegetable-based foods, there will also be a whole host of vendors setting up to showcase and sell various cruelty-free products. So you can come out, enjoy great food, and shop for fantastic finds all in one downtown stop.
Participating businesses that will be taking part in this event include: Cakes to Die For, Dancing Bear Toys and Gifts, Curious Iguana, LOVE: Lebherz Oil & Vinegar Emporium, That Hummus Place, The Orchard Restaurant, Pretzel and Pizza Creations, Vini Culture Wine Bar & Café, Savage Soaps, and Voila! Various other participants are partnering in this event as well, including Baltimore Vegan Drinks and Glory Doughnuts.
This downtown street fair will offer free family fun and entertainment throughout the day. Visitors even have the chance to win a special gift basket valued at $500. This event is made possible by Frederick Veg—a group comprised of vegans, vegetarians, and veg-curious individuals who are passionate about animals, health, and the environment. Together the group works to raise awareness through educational events, by offering community support and friendship, and by holding numerous advocacy events.
