The UNC vs. NC State live stream online and TV coverage of their 2016 NCAA basketball matchup arrives on Wednesday as the ACC leaders look to continue their stay at the top. The North Carolina Tar Heels come into this contest ranked at No. 7 in the nation, and with an 11-3 conference record are just a half game ahead of the Miami Hurricanes for the lead. The Wolfpack are the opposite side of the standings, currently with a disappointing 4-10 record in the conference and 14-13 overall. They’ll hope to gain some momentum towards the ACC Tournament with a big upset tonight at home as the 2016 NCAA basketball live streaming and televised coverage comes via ESPN networks.
According to The Fayetteville Observer in their Feb. 23 game preview, the North Carolina State Wolfpack currently rank fourth in the ACC and No. 18 in the nation when it comes to offensive rebounding as they grab about 37 percent of their missed shots on average. Due to the fact the Wolfpack have this strength, some analysts believe that UNC may start Kennedy Meeks again at the center spot in favor of forward Isaiah Hicks. Meeks was benched from the starting lineup following UNC’s loss to Duke while Hicks took over the starting spot. Carolina which is 22-5 overall, bounced back from their home loss to the Blue Devils with a dominant 96-71 win over Miami (FL) this weekend.
As for the Wolfpack, they’re ranking 13th in the conference standings and are 14-13 overall. They’re just 3-3 in their last six games, but are coming off a 77-74 home win against Clemson. In that victory, guard Maverick Rowan scored 20 points to lead the way including 8-of-15 field goals made and 4-of-9 three-pointers made. Forward Abdul-Malik Abu added a double-double with 17 points and 16 rebounds, as well as three blocked shots. These two teams played back on Jan. 16 in Chapel Hill with UNC getting the best of things at home, winning 67-55. However, the two teams were tied at the half, which could show just how competitive this in-state rivalry can be despite their current records.
The points spread for tonight’s game first had the Tar Heels as five-point favorites to win. Since then, the line has moved up to eight points or more in their favor. On the moneyline, the Wolfpack are +305 home underdogs while North Carolina is a -375 favorite. The over/under points total will be 155 for the complete game. UNC continues to rank as second in terms of favorites to win the NCAA Men’s Tournament with odds of 8 to 1. The Michigan State Spartans are the top team on the list with odds of 15 to 2 to win it all.
