There are new beauty products and new beauty brands hitting the market all the time. But occasionally there is something that can really attract attention because of the unique take on what we all take for granted. There are two new lines that have popped up on my radar recently, and I am hoping to get the opportunity to try them in the coming year!
One of the brands on my list is Stowaway Cosmetics. This brand has a unique take on what cosmetics should be. The formulas are simple, thoughtful, and minimalist in both packaging and practice. They are ready to go anywhere your life might take you! Stowaway offers “right-size” products at a reasonable price in sizes that you can easily carry with you and perhaps actually finish. The product line is very simple but holds so many possibilities. The Radiant Complexion Beauty Balm and the Creaseless Concealer are both available in four shades (Fair, Light, Medium, and Tan). The Cheek and Lip Rouge comes in Burnt Rose, Peony, or Cantaloupe. The Crème Lipstick is offered in Champagne, Peony, Scarlet, and Fig. For eye definition, the Effortless Eyeliner comes in Jet or Spice. Both the Defined Lash Mascara and the Extreme Lash Mascara are available only in Black. If you are interested in the entire kit and caboodle, the Stowaway Kit comes with six products which is everything but the Extreme Lash Mascara. The kit looks fabulous and you can customize each product to your preference. You can mix and match the products for your perfect look on the go. It seems like a great kit for your purse, your travel bag, or your gym bag. I have not had the chance to try these just yet, but the only downside I can see at this point is that the Radiant Complexion Beauty Balm does not contain sunscreen and that is one product I don’t leave the house without.
The other line that has caught my eye is Nudestix. Oddly enough, it is also a travel-friendly brand. They offer a fantastic-looking collection of simple and multi-purpose makeup crayons that cover all your makeup needs. Each pencil seems to come with a collectible tin, a large mirror, and a pencil sharpener. The Face options include a bronzing pencil, a sculpting pencil, a concealer pencil, and lip + cheek pencil, a ‘blur’ pencil, and clean-up pencil, a matte + blemish pencil, and a moisture pencil. The Eye options are an eyebrow stylus + gel, a brow wax, a sheer eye colour, a magnetic eye colour, and a mascara. For your Lips, there is a the lip + cheek pencil and a lip pen. One of the most interesting sections on their website is the Lookbook which gives a specific rundown of what products the models are wearing in the pictures. Overall, the line seems to over a more natural look in their color selections. A handful of these vitamin-enriched pencils and you are vacation-bound!
