The Celebration of Gospel drought ends tonight on BET. For a year the “#1 rated gospel special in cable” took a break, but tonight the who’s who in gospel music return to ignite the Orpheum Theater stage in Los Angeles.
Singing his current single “Worth” the DC area’s Anthony Brown and Group Therapy will be featured along with Yolanda Adams, Kirk Franklin, Donnie McClurkin, Chaka Khan, Tye Tribbett, Erica Campbell, Pastor Shirley Caesar, Anthony Hamilton, Tamela Mann, Tank, BeBe Winans, Tasha Cobbs, Le’Andria Johnson, Jonathan McReynolds and more! Adhering to their normal format, there will be mixed-genre collaborations as well as a tribute segment to the late Andrae Crouch.
‘BET Sunday Best’ alum Leandria Johnson will perform her newest release, “Better Days.”
Erica Campbell dropped few hints about her surprise collaborator on “I Luh God.” It sounds like a certain male singer from ‘Empire’ will be joining her.
DJ Nicolas from Kingston, Jamaica will pair his Carribbean flavor with Deitrick Haddon.
Coming fresh off her Golden Globe Award win, Empire’s Tarji P. Henson will host the show for the second time. That’s tonight at 8:00 p.m./EST on BET.
