If you were in the mood for an intimate concert Thursday night, the Broomfield Auditorium was the place to be as they hosted Peter Kater and Tina Guo. These two are promoting their new CD “Inner Passion”. This was their first album ever made together and it is fantastic.

Peter Kater has performed all over the world for presidents, dignitaries and his music has been featured in the Olympics. Tina Guo was born in Shanghai, China and moved to America at the age of 5. Tina Guo is also involved with several movie scores such as Sherlock Holmes, Iron Man 2, Clash of the Titans, CSI:NY, and can be heard in the new movie Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice.
Thursday evening the beautiful sounds of these two filled the Broomfield Auditorium as Peter Kater took the stage first and performed about 20 minutes solo. Peter has such magical abilities with the 88 keys on a piano to let you relax and enjoy some enjoy elegant music. As he performed some of his new and old music, “Passion” was one that captured the hearts of the listeners. As Peter took you though the songs, it was extremely easy to see why this artist has had numerous Grammy nominations.
As Tina Guo came on stage and entertained the audience with her cello, you could feel the passion and love this lady has for music. Tina is exquisite in herself and when you hear her bow across the strings, all of the sudden this could become your favorite musical instrument. During Tina’s solo performance, she decided to do an improvised, on-the-spot song and she took you through classic, a little bit of rock and then putting an alluring ending to the song. This brought a standing ovation from the audience.
The show ended with the two performing for about 30 minutes as the two sampled some of their new music on their “Inner Passion” CD and getting a ravishing reaction from the audience. To showcase their musical abilities, they also performed impromptu. As one artist would begin playing, the other would eventually join in and just blend in as if the song was written and practiced for many hours. The two artists gave a concert that ended with a meet and greet in the lobby of the Broomfield Auditorium. Speaking with both of them, they made you feel like you have known them for a lifetime. They are very passionate about their music and extremely grateful to spend time with each and every audience member.
