Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouse will host a Spring Cigar Dinner this evening, Monday, March 21 at 6 p.m. featuring the Macallan Single Malt Scotch Whisky and Montecristo Cigars. The evening includes Macallan 12 year, Macallan 15 year, Macallan Rare Cask and the brand new Macallan #1. The featured Cigars include the Montecristo Cigars, The Monte #2, Montecristo Classic Toro and the Montecristo White Toro. Appetizers feature the Tempura Fried Jumbo Shrimp, Ahi Tuna tartar on wonton crisps and Bourbon Bacon Lardons. Dinner includes the Del’s salad, 16oz Ribeye, Jalapeno-Bacon Macaroni & Cheese, Chateau Mashed Potatoes and Sautéed Haricot Verts. And for dessert, indulge with the chocolate moose. Dry Dock Brewing Company is hosting a beer and cheese pairing event Monday, March 21. South Dock will welcome back the Truffle Cheese Shop at 6:30pm for a beer and cheese pairing. This event includes four beer pours and four cheeses for $25. Tickets are available at the South Dock tasting room.
Executive Chef Jeff Bolton of Kachina Southwestern Grill will host a special “Host Sauce Chef’s Class” on Thursday, March 24 at 6:30p.m. The class will include cooking demonstrations by Chef Jeff and teach guests how to replicate some of Kachina’s “hottest” dishes and sauces at home, including Skirt Steak Navajo Tacos & Fresno Hot Sauce, White Chicken Chili & Roasted Serrano + Anaheim Hot Sauce, and Chicken Enchilada & Habanero Hot Sauce. Centro Latin Kitchen & Refreshment Palace is celebrating the versatility and flavor of Mole with its very own festival on Thursday, March 24. Chef Dakota Coburn is inviting guest chefs Clint Myers from Zolo Grill and Jamey Fader from LOLA Mexican Fish House into Centro’s kitchen to create their own takes on this Oaxacan classic. For a limited time, beginning Monday, March 21 through April 18, Larimer Square’s Tamayo will celebrate its Enchilada Festival, inviting guests to taste enchiladas inspired by different regions of Mexico. Featured enchiladas include: Pork carnitas with almond mole sauce and pickled onions; slow cooked short ribs with chile morita sauce, red onion, queso fresco and refried beans; braised veal tongue with green mole, cotija cheese and achiote oil; shredded chicken on corn tortillas with tomatillo salsa.
