There is many man-made theories on how the universe began. The Big Bang Theory is one such theory that looks good on paper. But its calculations do not hold up. The Big Bang Theory is a total impossibility. Scientists (who were not there when this so-called Big Bang happen) say about 15 billion years ago, the universe began with an enormous explosion when a piece of nothing no bigger than an atom exploded to create what we have today. They say our universe was created from chaos to order. Did you ever see a tornado? Things that get sucked into the funnel cloud never come out whole but in many parts. Or you could start with parts from a jet plane and throw these parts into a passing tornado and see if you get a whole plane when they come out. The beginning of the universe according to these scientists was a big bang which started out as chaos but came into order billions of years later. God never used the Big Bang. God created everything in order.
All these following theories of the universe by man say there is no God (Psalm 14:1). Nebular and planetesimal theories are but a few of the many theories on how our solar system began.
Nebular Theory says that our solar system began as a great cloud of gas and dust which around 5 billion years ago, began to collapse in on itself under the force of its own gravity. As the cloud shrank, it started to spin and flatten out into a disk. Eventually,, the center began to heat up as the particles of gas and dust smashed into each other, forming the star we know as our sun. The rest of the material went on to form the planets, moons, asteroids, comets, and other debris that make up our solar system. This theory is also called the Monistic Theory.
Planetesimal Theory says the solar system was made by a star passing by our star the sun, pulling a long threadlike “arms” of gas from our sun. The gas cooled and formed solid particles called planetesimals. These planetesimals gradually collected in the centers of the swirling eddies, and formed planets. This is how the earth was formed according to this theory. Scientists say that the earth was formed by violent impacts of lumps of matter. For about a half a billion years of bombardment, the early molten earth had formed.
We need to stop with the theories, man was not there at the creation of the universe. The universe and earth were created by God (Genesis 1:1). Not billions of years ago but only thousands of years ago. The earth was not molten in the beginning. It was water covered! (Genesis 1:2). All of creation took only six literal days to be completed by God (Genesis 1:1-31).
