There is something unique about an entertainer. Of course, they excel at entertaining us, but they also seem to be in a class all by themselves. Although entertainers make it seem that what they do is easy, in reality, it requires a lot of work. It requires a little extra oomph. And that’s what is so unique about them, that extra oomph. Second to their talents are their toys. We’ve all seen the clothes, houses, cars, boats, and even planes, but have you ever witnessed the garages? Not the two-car garage in your neighborhood. I’m talking about the garage where you can park a Boeing 707 next to your Rolls Royce. Yes, it gets that real. Let’s take a look at some of the world’s most extravagant garages.
John Travolta’s Garage
This is what you call going all out. Here is the man that “parks” his Boeing 707. The one and only, John Travolta. With his love for planes and being certified to fly planes, he decided to have a garage that could house his 707 and Gulfstream jet, along with their support vehicles. To accommodate these massive air cruisers is parking space for 15 vehicles. And, let’s not forget the 1.4 mile long runway that leads into the garage. Are you tempted to Google the price of a jet? Go ahead; it’s okay to dream.
Big Dog Garage
You knew he had to make the list. This is Jay Leno, the car enthusiast himself. In order for him to collect cars of all makes and models, there has to be a place to house them. Well for Jay, his place is 17,000 square feet with its own fabrication shop, machine shop, and for those long days, a kitchen. This is the one and only Big Dog Garage. His collection of rides are so popular that he once provided a personal guided tour. And get this, he charged $100 per person. With 215 people in attendance, the proceeds were donated to the Juvenile Arthritis Alliance. What more can you ask for? In 2010, Jay made the environment-friendly conversion and installed solar panels to the sound of $450,000.
Emirates National Auto Museum
Yes, this is an actual garage. But, this garage is so big that it is also used as a museum for tourists. This is the diamond of all garages. When you have so many vehicles in such a big facility that you can make money off of people visiting it, you are truly the king of all garages. It only makes sense, when you are Hamad Bin Hamdan al-Nahyan, a UAE royal family member. Located in Abu Dhabi, this pyramid shaped garage isn’t just for show. He still drives his vehicles from time to time, which is usually for special occasions.
Hamad Bin Hamdan al-Nahyan had a garage door repair services custom build this climate-controlled garage, which some tourists have called it a small city. With more than 200 vehicles in storage, the garage door repair services also added painted streets, walkways, a rotunda, and even streetlights. Amongst his fleet of vehicles, there is the one-of-a-kind Dodge Jeep that is more than three stories high. Imagine being the garage door repair services company that constructed that garage door!
