The evening began with a red carpet for the VIP’s and dignitaries attending Second Annual The World Networks Entrepreneur Awards program, Tuesday, Dec. 8, 2015, at the Taglyan Hall, Hollywood. Inside the gorgeous architecturally designed ballroom, were nominees for the entrepreneurs for the black tie affair. If you inspire others to become an entrepreneur you create jobs, even during a recession, you mentor others and you give back to the community, you’re the ultimate entrepreneur. That’s according to The World Networks, a global networking company that screened some 300 nominations for the top 25, 2015 “Entrepreneur of the year”.
The awards and dinner program was short, always on time and dinner guests were entertained by Coloratura Soprano Ann Boyrayan, who thrilled the audience with her Opera style singing and smooth voice. Boyrazyan sings in opera, concerts wedding and special events like The World Network Awards event. The food was delicious and prepared by Taglyan Complex’s in-house catering service. The event recognized the top entrepreneurs and community leaders who have been selected for the following: (1) being recommended by numerous people for their leadership skills (2) offering a unique product or service (3) being involved in the community by supporting nonprofit organizations (4) making a difference in the world as they have made a mark in their industry (5) empowering other entrepreneurs and creating opportunities in the community.
According to the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor, there are more than 400 million entrepreneurs in 54 countries and in the next five years each entrepreneur plans to create at least five jobs. “The timing couldn’t be better to acknowledge these incredible entrepreneurs that take risks every day to create a better future for themselves, their families and their communities,” said Founder, President Lousine Karibian. “Networking is crucial to growing your business and The World Networks takes pride in helping you do so,” she said. Karibian recently returned from China to visit dignitaries of the newly created China Network, which is a member of The World Networks. Karibian also announced that the Official Network of Entrepreneurs Worldwide is TheWorldNetworks.com/app that can now be accessed via mobile phone.
One of the entrepreneurs of the year, who was honored was CEO of Life Chest and Author Donna Yost, of Pumptitude, a book about her journey from CEO Wife to CEO Life- and How to Survive. “I made a really special box and hope chest that you want to store your beautiful keepsakes for generations,” she said. The entrepreneur also works with combat interest groups. “We’ve given so many Life Chests to combat injured troops across the country,” she said. “We work with all veteran parachute teams and even former President George H. W. Bush Sr. plans to put a Life Chest in his museum.” Yost shared a Life Chest moment at his 90th birthday celebration, June 12, 2014, when former President Bush jumped out of an airplane with parachute Mike Elliot.
Yost also works with millennial entrepreneurs, who she says work really hard and travel with her to places like Fort Bragg to help injured troopers, who share stories of where they’ve been and how it affects their families. “They’re learning on the job,” she said.
