AMC’s “The Walking Dead” Season Six comes to an end this Sunday, and it’s safe to say that “Last Day on Earth” will be the most difficult episode to watch in the history of the series ever! As most “TWD” fans know, the internet blew up late last night when TSDF leaked audio of the last several minutes of the season finale. The audio stars Negan and the moment we’ve all been waiting to see, and it’s very hard to listen to! Not caught up to “The Walking Dead” or missed last week’s episode, “East”? Major spoilers are ahead!
The eleven minute audio is linked above and it might not be around for long if it gets taken down by AMC. By now, though, I’m sure most fans have listened to it, so let’s discuss!
Negan’s Language: The first thing I listened for was Negan’s language. In the comics, he’s known for his love for the f-word. However, AMC didn’t change its rules for “The Walking Dead” by allowing it to use the word in the show. Instead (and unfortunately), Negan is heard saying “sh*t” a lot. I’m assuming that’s the word “f***” has been replaced with. This is pretty lame and disappointing.
Comic Dialogue: If you read the comics, expect Negan’s speech to be almost exactly the same on the AMC series. Negan does “eeny, meeny, miny, moe” to select Lucille’s victim, he instructs everyone no to do anything or he’ll cut Carl’s other eye out, and he even tells the person he is bashing in the head that he is “taking it like a champ.”
The Victim: I’m almost 100% sure Glenn is Lucille’d. Maybe I’m crazy, but I think I can hear Glenn’s name being cried out by, I’m assuming, Maggie. Not long after hearing Glenn’s name, I’m pretty sure I can hear Glenn shouting “Maggie!” This fits the comics. Then again, it could just be my imagination influenced by what I read in the comics. Then AGAIN, I’m not the only one who hears this. Several other fans have also shared that they hear the same thing. What do you think?
Cliffhanger: If we can hear both Glenn and Maggie shouting, I don’t see how this is a cliffhanger. We might just get to see this whole scene. How is it a cliffhanger when we know who dies?
Are you ready to watch the scene go down? Ready or not, it’s coming in a couple of days! Have tissues ready!
“The Walking Dead” Season 6 finale airs this Sunday, April 3, on AMC.
