Our natal chart is a report of what our soul elected to experience and learn in this life. It indicates the areas of human-ness that our soul chose to be involved with so that we could become who we are meant to become.
Our chart is a tool that unlocks the mysteries of the unconscious mind, probes the subconscious mind, examines the conscious mind, and opens the gateway for deepening the understanding of our soul’s intention for the lessons and experiences in our life.
Everyone has each of the ten planets represented in their chart because astronomically, each planet is part of the sun; astrologically, each planet has a personality function that operates in us in order to provide us with the necessary energy patterns to bring us to the realization of our true self.
Our will is our life
Our astrological energy patterns don’t define us, they’re simply the script. We choose how to express those energies within us; we decide how our “character” will be played. Our will is our life.
The exceptionally gifted astrologer, Myrna Lofthus, a student of Isabel Hickey, explains the soul’s intention of each zodiacal energy pattern in the natal chart.
The zodiac sign may only be on a house cusp, and not represented by one of the planets.
Wherever we find Aries in the chart indicates where we, as an individual, need to be independent. That’s the house where we will have to be “The Little Red Hen” because only then will we feel a sense of completion within ourselves.
Wherever we find Taurus in the chart is where we need to learn a sense of values – where we are apt to be locked up in the world of matter.
Wherever Gemini is found in the chart is where we need to obtain a variety of experiences. We need to be curious so that we will investigate the area of life ruled by Gemini. The saying that variety is the “spice of life” is applicable to the Gemini-ruled house.
Wherever Cancer is found in the natal chart is where we need to nurture our growth and development in the house affairs involved. This house is where our zodiac sun sign expresses itself most – either positively or negatively. The Cancer house is where we are unable to hide our sun sign traits, peculiarities, and talents from others, regardless of how secretive we try to be.
Wherever Leo is found in our natal chart is where we need to focus our zodiac sun energy and positive traits. Thus, the positive qualities of our sun sign should be used to fulfill the obligations owed to the house affairs ruled by Leo.
Wherever Virgo is found in the natal chart is where we need to analyze your attitudes and ideas regarding the house affairs. Past theories need re-thinking.
Wherever Libra is found in a natal chart is where we have been out-of-balance in the house affairs. The scales were tipped too far to one extreme and must now be balanced. Here is where we “reap what we have sown in previous lifetimes.” In other words, we see our former traits and attitudes concerning the house affairs being mirrored back to us by those in our environment.
Wherever Scorpio is found in the natal chart is where we need deep involvement. In other words, we should be intensely concerned about the affairs of the house, so that we investigate and get to the bottom of all aspects of the house affairs.
Wherever Sagittarius is found in the chart is where we need to expand our knowledge and review our attitudes to the house affairs. This area of our life has been restricted in previous lifetimes through choice or through circumstances.
Wherever Capricorn is found in the chart is where we have to make restitution. There is a need to improve and renovate our ideas about the house affairs.
In previous lifetimes, we have sought personal recognition through the affairs of the house. Now, this house is one of frustration, until we no longer seek to obtain any recognition, but only if the attitude is restored.
Wherever Aquarius is in the natal chart is where we need to reform old ideas and concepts about the house affairs. New ideas and knowledge should be utilized in order to break down these old ideas and concepts from past lifetimes. The house affairs will receive abrupt changes as this reformulation takes place. The changes can be constructive or destructive, depending upon whether one is heading in the right direction.
Wherever Pisces is in the natal chart is where we have to use your intuition toward the house affairs. We will need to believe in our hunches and intuitive insight, because there will be no guide lines to help us. Everything will appear to be confusing or misleading. This house, then, is where you must have faith. Faith in the future and faith in ourselves.
The more we hear the voice of our soul, the more complete we will feel as we go about our lives. The natal chart broadcasts exactly what our soul wants us to hear so that we may become who we are meant to become. Meditation also helps us hear the voice of our soul.
