Fighting and struggling is not the way. Man is conditioned to constantly go after success. Science should not be allowed to run amok in the name of what is good for modern man. Scientists act without consciousness and in this way we get in over our heads we put humanity in danger.
A pattern of universal laws are what is missing in the United States and it is what keeps other countries in check with nature. Placing value where value belongs is not about security of worldly adjustment. That man should become stronger not better. He is not conditioned for asceticism. The policies and culture of America are in need of a greater spiritual value. How are we to achieve world peace when we cannot achieve it ourselves or in our communities. A child in the US is conditioned the moment they enter school to achieve strength and dominance and how to acquire things.
The average person is not self-disciplined and his energies are scattered. We are moved constantly by impulse, living a day to day life, striving to get by. The fabric of our purpose slips right on by us. What it means is that we need to have sovereignty over the patterns of life. It is not necessary to be jealous and hate, self-centered or arrogant or be afraid, gossip or fear. They sweep over us and take us over. We have been give faculties and powers to live well. Self-discipline makes some people go crazy at the mere thought of it.
Material life can conceive of no better state than to be happy with stuff. This is how it is and I’m in this world as it is. We are not victims of the world or the government. We are not victims of other people.
We are the victims of our possessions and it has become so important we can’t think of anything else. This has led to a culture where each individual in it has some reason to be unhappy. If we were in Asia working on discipline the guru could say sit there for five years until I tell you to move and the Asian man would do it. The American man thinks he does not have to and would find it unnecessary.
Growing and unfolding by working through the places you occupy rather than trying to skip the spaces. Growth and self-development is a dedication. A high degree of self discipline with out becoming unadjusted but to accept and too fulfill. Where is the best place to study, where you are. The important and uncomplicated school room is you. The effort to achieve integration is not at the expense of something or someone else. It is a personal thing. It will never result in the loss or pain of another individual or to advance or place in conflict. A human being can grow and be happy without consequence to another. It is not just beyond your reach or something to struggle for or go find. It’s not a competition or a trick of the mind. It is not only available if you have a home full of stuff or a padded bank account. This inner truth is something that intelligent discipline it is asserting value over impulse.
Knowledge does not mean you are disciplined. Value is of your person to control negatives and increase the positives. Discipline is effortless effort. We tend to see “busy” and straining as working hard at it. Because of school we think of discipline as no fun and difficult. The whole theory of discipline is to use no energy. The reason why we think it will take a lot of energy is because of desire. Desire means we must take action. To fight desire seems like something to physically battle. As long as you are divided on the inside it is taking more action. When you unite the will to move in one direction there is no more struggle. Divine purpose and human purpose become one. Human purpose is not enough to make you secure and comfortable. Divine purpose gives you an internal conviction about reality.trouble growing because something does not want to grow, because of laziness or not being mature enough to leave the childish actions behind. You do not need to be in a deadlock battled in over constantly whether to be good or bad. When you do not have principles to go by you experience a series of experiences that lead to your unhappiness.
Fables are emotional warmth in being as a way to learn things without effort. The rote memorization of answers for a test is just that, nothing is learned and remembered. Nothing is meaningful or useful, it was a means to get by or through school and get your piece of paper. Discipline is done graciously and kindly, a sense of adjustment to a life that is higher than the one you have now.
Meditation is a contemplation of divine realities without tension or effort. Be still and know. It is not a search or an aggression or a conjuring up. The greatest danger is meditating from a conviction instead of toward one. It is not what we meditate on but the level of what we meditate with. The substratum of the eternal mind has its own nature. The nature of being is like looking out at a great sunset from a mountain. It is man becoming capable of acceptance. It is of reducing your own nature to allow the divine nature. Don’t worry it is not possible to wipe yourself off or lose yourself. You become more aware of reality. You come finally to an identity. You eliminate error. You relax. Fifteen minutes of mediation will relieve the tensions of one busy day. Rest is the ceasing of conflict. Work or play, busy or doing nothing it continues until it is solved. It never solves itself. It is the expression of the power over the self.
A thousand words are not as good as one picture. It is not your right to carry the horse. Why not ride it? You must train the horse. And a well-trained horse is your friend and becomes a joy to be with. When it was broken it fought for its liberty with all of its might. The body wanted to dictates its future. So you are learning to ride your own horse. The relationship between consciousness and body and every factor is improved by choice. Self-control and overcoming is to let go. We let go every night. When we can’t let go we have a bad night. It is a noncompetitive not knowing. Meditations are a waking sleep. Gaining the power to rest without blocking every sense to do so. Quietly and smoothly functioning and passing through the gateless gate. There is no door at all.
So in the quiet coolness of the evening of life you become aware. You do not require proof of anything. You are accepting in meditation. Trying to meditate morning noon and night will drive you crazy again. It is a dynamic kind of living prayer, and identification with a living value tranquility and peace and a higher measure of conduct. It is letting the universe move through us. It asks nothing it demands nothing. It relaxes and allows personal value to come to us.
Realization is to be aware of it, aware of values we have not previously known of. It is about better meaning we have not known before and acceptance of things as they are. It is a process of acceptance. It is a highly suspended activity. We are constantly confronted with ideas. We just want to become aware of our power to rise above appearances to arrange these meanings to give us value. It should be a help in a time of trouble. To suddenly see the meaning in annoyances and signs and ends the tediousness of polarizations of seeing things as black or white. Realization deepens and takes the edge off dogma. All things that appear or exist or manifest they reveal something that we can know.
Experiencing through the illusion of appearances. We are questing. It is questing for the divine in the universe. It gives us a better orientation to what is natural.
Illumination cannot be conditioned by his own efforts. You are completely dependent on divine law. You are not judging for the infinite. You can only take faith and certain dedications for the experience of sufficient situation. When everything is as it should be we are participating in total value. Your body is not suited for highly attenuated experiences. The vibration is high. There is a total existence and you become immediately aware of an eternal fact. And you will not be able to forget what you experienced. It is the conscious experience of truth. Once it is flashed in you it can never be taken away.
Spiritual identity is achieving what we have ever earned. Our merit nothing can be kept from us what we have earned. It is a common factor of acceptance and not our will but the will of heaven.
We are not going to pay for being spiritual by losing friends or losing stuff. Our eternal salvation is not our eternal misery in this sphere. We do not serve by being miserable. A flower is not miserable because it grows. It is natural to grow and develop. What is misery is the way people interpret growth. If you are wanting a condition that you have out grown and you are about to receive a condition that is higher may find themselves “feeling” alone. You are being too critical of your conduct. If you find growth uncomfortable you are trying for the wrong virtue or cultural growth is pressing you. To try to be overwhelmingly good is to be in trouble because there are no supporting instruments. Growth is a reasonable process. You are not a sinner because you have the older attachments; you have not yet adequately outgrown the old condition. It is not going for the one virtue and nothing else and leaving all that is you behind.
If you feel you have a better psychic position than others and you have no need for others because you are better now that is metaphysical snobbery. You can learn something from every one. The idea is not to be better than others but acceptance. Instead of being spiritually discontent with people understanding and patience and kindness is the heart of acceptance. The experiences that come to us are trying to teach us to love each other not to isolate our self. They may not be for us at that moment but they are not there for us to condemn them.
We need to remove ourselves from those things that separate us from others. Over time we will be able to perfect it. Once you believe something thoroughly you must live it. If you half live your growth and half fight it can be uncomfortable.
