The Passion live on Fox live stream online and televised musical special arrives on Sunday evening for TV viewers to enjoy. It boasts an ensemble musical cast as well as a number of scenic locations while connecting a story told in modern times to various passages from the Bible. The latest special will arrive on Palm Sunday, exactly one week ahead of the Easter 2016 holiday. Viewers will be able to watch The Passion live streaming or on TV thanks to the Fox networks on Sunday night.
According to Hollywood Life in a March 20 report, tonight’s live musical on Fox will feature eight talented cast members including country music star Trisha Yearwood, who also happens to be fellow country star Garth Brooks’ wife. Yearwood will play the iconic role of Mary, the mother of Jesus. Former “American Idol” runner-up and pop music star Chris Daughtry will also take on the role of Judas, while the lead role on the musical of Jesus Christ will be played by Jencarlos Canela. He’s been on a variety of telenovelas, but is most recently on the Eva Longoria series “Telenovela.” Canola also has three solo music albums in the pop genre to boot. He’ll play the main role in a live musical which takes place in nine different locations in New Orleans in front of a total of 25,000 audience members, as well as hundreds of thousands more watching on TV.
Singer Prince Royce, who has four studio albums and seven Latin Grammy nominations, also graces the live musical in the role of Saint Peter. Another well known pop music star, Seal, who is the ex-husband of model Heidi Klum will play the role of Pontius Pilate. Rounding out the cast will be the three disciples, who will be played by Michael W. Smith, Gabriel Conte and Shane Harper. Of them, Smith and Harper have music or television careers, while Conte is known for his social media superstardom on the video-sharing site Vine. All three should make great additions to tonight’s live musical special which tells the story of Jesus Christ’s life on Earth with a modern day styling and narration by famous movie director and actor, Tyler Perry.
