Deck the halls with dinner and dance at the Lodges at Gettysburg as you enjoy a newer holiday tradition–the annual Deck the Halls Dinner & Dance Party. The festivities will take place on the evening of Saturday, Dec. 12. Reservations are required.
Come out and be a part of this newer tradition, set to take place as an original community tradition at the Lodges for many Christmases to come. The festivities begin when doors open at 6 p.m. with a social hour of mingling until 7 p.m. when the dinner is served. Then dancing will commence following the meal and continue until 11 p.m. As a sweet sendoff, the jolly man in red, Santa Claus himself will drop by at the conclusion for a quick visit and social call to the party.
The Lodges have planned a special dinner menu just for the party. The meal will consist of a garden salad to start things off, followed by teriyaki l’orange salmon (fresh salmon fillet marinated in orange teriyaki sauce), chef carved bake honey ham, Chicken Florentine (served in a Parmesan mushroom cream sauce over penne), seasonal vegetables, garlic mashed potatoes, red velvet cake, holiday cookies, coffee, and tea. You can view the full menu of culinary delights prepared by the Inn’s own Carriage House by clicking here.
The cost to attend the Deck the Halls Dinner & Dance Party is $38, all-inclusive. There will also be a separate cash bar available. Anyone who purchases 20 or more tickets to the event will also receive a gift certificate for an overnight stay to use during a separate outing to the Lodges. To learn more, call 717-642-2500.
In keeping with the tradition of annual firsts at the Lodges, there is another hosted event making its debut this season. It is the Annual Holiday Luncheon at the Lodges, and it is ongoing during the first three Fridays of December.
The first Holiday Luncheon took place this past Friday on Dec. 4, with the next two scheduled for Dec. 11 and Dec. 18. Again, reservations are required to take part in this experience at the all-inclusive price of $25 a person.
For these luncheons, guests are welcome to share in a wondrous holiday dining experience, surrounded by traditional, festive décor and beauty of the season. Doors open at 11:30 a.m. with food served at noon. The luncheon menu includes a garden salad with assorted toppings and dressings, fresh baked rolls, house favorite pastas, Chicken Florentine, and red velvet cake, holiday cookies, iced tea, and lemonade. You can read more about these luncheons here.
