Because of its positioning, the Navy destroyer U.S.S. Nathan James avoided falling victim to the devastating tragedy. But now, Captain Tom Chandler and his crew must confront the reality of their new existence in a world where they may be among the few remaining survivors. “The Last Ship” also stars Rhona Mitra, Adam Baldwin, Charles Parnell, Travis Van Winkle, Marissa Neitling, Christina Elmore, Jocko Sims and John Pyper-Ferguson. On “The Last Ship: The Complete Second Season”, Captain Chandler and the rest of the crew set out to disseminate the cure for the Red Virus, which paleo microbiologist Dr. Rachel Scott developed. As they head back to U.S. soil to seek survivors and find their families, they encounter a new, emerging enemy who is vying for control and may hinder the mass production of the cure.
