The Katy Home and Garden Show showcases 300 exhibits and two buildings of one-stop shopping including: decorating, gardening, remodeling, window treatments, home theater, landscaping, kitchens & baths, do-it-yourself, flooring, windows & doors, siding, heating/cooling, pools, outdoor entertainment and more. Attend workshops and seminars and find out how decluttering can reduce stress and depression to how to modernize your home for the best possible sale price.
But great ideas for both indoor and outdoor of the family home isn’t all that the Katy Home and Garden Show offers. Meet Matt Muenster, celebrity DIY Host of HGTV’s Bath Crashers and Ellen DeGeneres Home Design Challenge on stage at 11:30; 1 and 2 p.m. on Saturday and 12 noon and 2 p.m. on Sunday, presented by Katy Times. Visit the Home Decor Marketplace and take home some of the items you will need to help you complete the inspiration for home improvement projects you received at the show. Free food sampling, Mini Gift Market and a Garden and Landscaping Extravaganza are just a few of the activities and experiences offered.
You won’t go hungry either at the Katy Home and Garden Show. In addition to food booths, exhibits and tastings you can visit Espresso Rescue the Coffee Truck for a little caffeine pick me up, lunch at the Cousins Maine Lobster or The Lucky Fig food trucks. Take care of your sweet tooth at Frosted Betty’s Mobile Bake Shop.
But home and garden aren’t the only activities available. Take the kids and spend some time in the new Kids Activity Zone sponsored by Adventure Kids Playcare. Every 100th Guest wins passes to the new HMNS giant screen film National Parks Adventure.
Tickets are $9 for adults; $8 for seniors and $5 for military. Kids under 12 are FREE. Please note that the facility charges $1 per ticket fee, which will be added at the time of purchase.
