In Houston, Texas a man has been charged with felony animal cruelty in reference to a March 10 stabbing of his dog at his former employment place; a car repair shop, reports Fox26Houston.
Arthur Kelvin Lovell was taken to jail on Monday after he was witnessed choking and stabbing a dog. The rest of the story is even more disturbing.
“The defendant gave a statement confessing to doing this to dogs frequently after having sex with them first. He walked officers through how he preserved the skulls of the dogs he killed and kept them as trophies,” stated a court prosecutor.
An investigation began when Lovell tried to sell a pit bull late last week at the repair shop located on South Breeze. When no one wanted to buy the dog, he stabbed and choked the dog. A witness, who wanted to remain anonymous, stated the dog was screaming, but everyone was too scared to get too close and were afraid of what the violent man would do to them. Lovell allegedly has a history of violent behavior as observed by his coworkers and witnesses. Another witness stated he had seen a dog in the storage area when Lovell picked up the animal and “rubbed on it so we had to turn our faces…He treats a dog like a woman,” the witness stated.
Lovell was booked into the Harris County Jail with no bond.
