Teresa Giudice said a tearful goodbye to her husband, Joe Giudice before he went inside the Federal Correctional Institution in Fort Dix, New Jersey. It has been a long painful ordeal for Teresa, Joe and their four daughters, Gia, Audriana, Milania, and Gabriella and to help Teresa cope with things better, she has decided to take a break from filming “Real Housewives of New Jersey,” according to Radar Online, March 24, 2016.
Teresa Giudice needed to take a break from filming, and give herself time to come to terms of living through the coming years without Joe being there to help her for the next 41 months. Teresa is only taking a few days off, but she will return to filming and she will share her feelings about Joe’s departure.
Next week, according to a source for Radar Online, filming will take place at an event held by one of Teresa’s co-stars. However, the source said it may not begin with Melissa Gorga’s fashion show, which is also scheduled for next week.
Even though Teresa is hurting and feeling alone, she took the time to thank all her fans for their love and support via Twitter. She posted “I want to thank all of you for the love & support you have shown my family during this difficult time. It means the world to all of us.”
Joe is serving time at a minimum-security prison, but some former inmates are telling how dangerous the place can be too. John Fuller, who works at the prison as a coach, believes that all the Italian inmates will take Joe under their wing and keep him safe.
Joe checked into the prison on March 23 and his lawyer, James Leonard Jr. released this statement. “Joe Giudice surrendered himself to the Federal Correctional Institution at Fort Dix today at 12 p.m. to begin serving his sentence. His brother, his sister, and several other members of the Giudice family, as well as me, were present when he turned himself in to the prison, including Teresa. It was obviously a very emotional day, but this is a very strong family with a tremendous support system and they will get through this, just as they did when Teresa was away.”
Just two days prior to his surrender, Joe hosted a party at the Blu Alehouse restaurant in Riverdale, New Jersey. Only family and friends were invited to this party and the guest list did not include cameramen or film crews from Bravo or “Real Housewives of New Jersey.”
The source said, “Everyone was laughing and joking. There were a lot of kids running around — everyone brought their kids. It was very low-key, private and a lot of fun.”
Everyone will have to wait and see how this plays out and what kind of drama unfolds for Teresa as she takes the role as a single mother. It may not be so bad for her, but Teresa said that what hurts her the most is that her kids will have to go through the pain of separation again.
