Teresa Giudice is a free woman, and she is able to come and go as she wants because she is no longer under house arrest. One of the first things she did was sit down with Amy Robach of ABC News’ “Good Morning America” to share the news about her family and their financial situation.
Amy Robach asked the star of “Real Housewives of New Jersey” how bad their financial situation really is and according to Teresa, they are no longer in crisis.
“[We’re not in] foreclosure any longer, thank you, God. And our restitution’s paid off. We’re in — thank God — in good shape.”
Amy also touched on whether Teresa was guilty or innocent of the fraud charges that sent her to serve jail time and Teresa told her that she had no idea that she was breaking the law.
“This is what happened in my eyes. I signed some papers. There was no intent to commit a crime. I didn’t know I was committing a crime. I got indicted. The government saw it differently. I got sentenced. I … served time. I did what I had to do and now I’m moving past it.”
Rumors were circulating that Teresa Giudice and her family were filming for the TV reality show, “Real Housewives of New Jersey” when she arrived home from the Danbury Federal Correctional Institution. Those rumors were true, because “RHONJ” executive producer, Andy Cohen, confirmed the news on Andy Cohen’s SirusXM radio show, Radio Andy and on his Twitter feed.
Teresa Giudice and her husband Joe Giudice, along with their four daughters, Gia, 14, Gabriella, 11, Milania, 10, and Audriana, 6, will rejoin fellow cast members including Jacqueline Laurita and Melissa Gorga who is Teresa’s sister-in-law.
The three women will try to make amends and repair her family relationship with her brother and sister-in-law, but many are wondering if the newly released Teresa will continue to spice things up, or will she be too mellow. However, it may be a tear-jerker as Season 7 focuses on Joe getting ready to serve 42 months in jail, which is set to begin late March.
On Bravo’s Daily Dish blog, Teresa said she plans to go on with her life by releasing the things of the past and “embracing the future.” Her book, “Turning the Tables: From Housewife to Inmate and Back Again,” will be released on February 9, the same day as her interview with Amy Roback.
Are you looking forward to Teresa coming back to “Real Housewives of New Jersey” and how do you think they came up with the hundreds of thousands of dollars that it took to get their house out of foreclosure, pay their restitution and buy a new a 2016 Lexus LX570 worth over $90,000?
