The students of St. Andrew’s Episcopal Academy live and breathe success as they work hard to achieve goals and now their hard work is paying off big time as they receive academic accolades for their achievements. In the St. Lucie County STEM and Engineering Fair, St. Andrew’s Upper School students competed and came out victors of success. Junior Lauren Herb won 3rd Place in Behavioral Science, 8th grader Joseph Parr won first place in Physics and Jack Krasulak won first place in Engineering, the Office of Naval Research medal and was one of five middle school students chosen to represent St. Lucie County at the State Science and Engineering Fair in Lakeland.
The winning St. Andrew’s Episcopal Academy students that participated in the annual Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) sponsored National essay contest, which is open to all 5-8 grade students were recognized at a tea on Feb. 13; the First Place Winners will advance to the State Competition! Congratulations 6th Graders Wyatt Alsdorf (1st Place), Lily Isble (2nd Place) and Presley Murray (3rd Place), and 7th Graders Lauren Owens (1st Place) and Jack Krasulak (2nd Place). To celebrate the 250th Anniversary of the Stamp Act, the Cora Stickney Harper Chapter of the DAR challenged St. Lucie County students to write on the topic of “A Colonial Family’s Reaction to the Stamp Act.” St. Andrew’s students won 5 of the 9 middle school awards.
