Lupita Nyong’o dazzled on the red carpet at the Star Wars: The Force Awakens premiere on Monday (December 14). The Oscar winner wore a silver and green crystal-encrusted Alexandre Vauthier Couture gown with cut outs. She accessorized with Chopard jewels and Christian Louboutin heels. Lupita informed reporters at the premiere that her goal was to shine. “I thought I’d bring the galaxy with me,” she joked. The Oscar winner also sparkled in a Zac Zac Posen dress with twinkling lights at the Star Wars ‘Force 4 Fashion’ event held on Wednesday (December 2) at the Skylight Modern in New York City.

In celebration of Lucasfilm’s highly anticipated film, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Disney Consumer Products and Bloomingdale’s joined forces with an illustrious group of designers in a new fashion-meets-fundraising initiative, “Force 4 Fashion.” Taking inspiration from the film’s costume designer, Michael Kaplan, fashion favorites Cynthia Rowley, Diane von Furstenberg, Giles Deacon, Halston, Opening Ceremony, Ovadia & Sons, Parker, Rag & Bone, Timo Weiland and Todd Snyder created outfits that were auctioned for charity that pays homage to characters from the new movie. Daisy Ridley attended the “Force 4 Fashion’ event in a David Koma dress.

The Los Angeles premiere was the biggest event in Hollywood which encompassed a few blocks and more than one theater for the celebrity packed screening. Here is a recap of our favorite looks at the event. We loved Star Wars newcomer Daisy Ridley’s Chloe dress and Christian Louboutin heels. Hunger Games actress Elizabeth Banks looked lovely in an Elie Saab gown. Modern Family star Sarah Hyland wore a KaufmanFranco dress.

Jaime King looked like she just beamed herself from outerspace in an unusual Monse dress. Janelle Monae was inspired by the intergalactic theme of the night by wearing an Erevos Aether top and skirt, Giuseppe Zanotti heels and Jennifer Fisher jewels. Carrie Fisher’s daughter Billie stood out in a Reem Acra dress and Jennifer Meyer jewels. Some starlets also channeled Star Wars by wearing their hair in buns. Newlywed Sofia Vergara wore inspired buns while posing with her gorgeous husband Joe Manganello. The pair made their debut on the carpet as a married couple.

Celebrity fans of the Star Wars franchise have already shared their thoughts about the film. Rob Lowe tweeted. There’s a new hero in town, in a movie that DELIVERS. Cried like a baby, whooped like a teen! ‪#StarWarsForceAwakens‬ Luke. Leia. Legends. ‪#starwars‬

The Office actor Rainn Wilson gave the film an enthusiastic review. “1st Star Wars review: it was epic, awesome & perfect. The cast was stellar. JJ killed it!” Modern Family actor Eric Stonestreet shared his prediction with diehard Star Wars followers. “Well, I’ve seen Star Wars: The Force Awakens. My prediction: #1 at the box office this week.” Press reviews of the film have been embargoed by Disney until December 16th.
