Star Wars Battlefront receives new maps, private matches, outfits, and more in a new update coming tomorrow, according to Sigurlina Ingvarsdottir, senior producer for the game, in a blog post today. Last month, Electronic Arts released the first free downloadable content pack, the Battle of Jakku DLC, which added two new maps and a new mode called Turning Point.
The first piece of the free DLC tomorrow is the Tatooine Survival map will be called Raider Camp and support Blast, Droid Run, Drop Zone, Hero Hunt, and Heroes vs Villains multiplayer modes. The update adds new outfits for Luke Skywalker and Han Solo for the Hoth map, which was unlocked by players participating in the game’s Heroes’ Holiday community mission held last month. Star Wars Battlefront will also receive the ability to create private matches, daily challenges and community events, and balancing tweaks to weapons and multiplayer modes.
Another free update will hit the game in February, adding a new Survival mission on Hoth and a new Hoth multiplayer map that supports larger game modes including Walker Assault, Supremacy, Fighter Squadron and Turning Point. Turning Point will also support all maps from Walker Assault and Supremacy in February’s update.
The last known free update for Star Wars Battlefront comes in March and adds an additional Tatooine Survival map alongside a new multiplayer map on Endor that will support Walker Assault, Supremacy, and Turning Point. Ingvarsdottir laid out the roadmap for when content from the game’s Season Pass will be releasing, starting in March:
