Everything changes and nothing stands still. ~Heraclitus
We have a time change coming up. A week later, we officially transition from Winter into Spring. Before all that change happens, however, something much, much tastier will take place. Addendum, the Thomas Keller restaurant in the backyard of his always lovely Ad Hoc restaurant in Yountville, California, changes from being closed for the winter to being open for the Spring and Summer starting on March 3, 2016.
That’s right, in no time, chicken will be frying, pork will be smoking, and lips will be smacking in the shade of the old oak trees located at 6476 Washington Street in Yountville. All the yumminess starts at 11 a.m. on March 3 and will only set you back $16.50 for an entree, two sides, and cornbread. Addendum is open Thursday through Saturday 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. throughout the Spring and Summer.
In keeping with the theme of change, there’s a been a change of leadership at Ad Hoc + Addendum. Elias Mandilaras recently became the general manager and brings a decade of restaurant management experience to Ad Hoc + Addendum. Elias holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Hospitality Management from Johnson and Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island.
Along with Elias, long-time Thomas Keller Restaurant Group (TKRG) employee, Matt Alba, has stepped into the role of chef de cuisine and will be handling brunch and dinner service as well as private events, and off-site catering. Matt comes to this role from Bouchon at the Venetian in Las Vegas where he worked as Executive Sous Chef. Previously, he spent four years as Executive Sous Chef at Bouchon in Yountville. It’s safe to say that Matt knows his way around a TKRG kitchen.
