This week, February 22-28, is another good one in Orlando local music, but of course aren’t they all? There are several fundraisers, a CD release show, a debut and a return to the stage event, plus the fun continues over the weekend with more Mardi Gras at Universal and the Bands, Brew & BBQ Festival at Sea World.
On Monday, Orlando band Leisure Chief is celebrating the release of their debut full-length CD, King of Nothing with a show at Will’s Pub. Joining the band for this special show are Electric Kif and Anthony Cole.
Orlando based rock band Afterglow Radio returns to the stage in a full band show at The Abbey. JunkieRush and Sideshow Revival are also on the bill. This is also the debut show for Americana rock band Sideshow Revival.
The eighth annual Downtown Food & Wine Fest takes place on Saturday and Sunday at Lake Eola in Orlando. Aside from the specialty food and wine offerings, there will be live music by Adam Moreno, Orange Avenue, The Mud Flappers, Mike Posner (acoustic), Michael Franti (acoustic duo), American Authors, Nicholas Marks, Sidereal, Derek & the Slammers and FireFall.
Monday, February 22
