During the holidays, many people rarely do get what they really want, so instead of hurting someone’s feelings by returning or exchanging presents, eBay is here to help. eBay, an e-commerce giant, offers consumer to consumer and business to consumer sales services via the internet. This multi-billion dollar dot com success has operations localized in more than 30 countries, and it’s getting even better this holiday season!
For those who have been keeping unwanted gifts in the attic or closets, be sure to get them all out this weekend. eBay Valet is teaming up with eight Westfield shopping centers nationwide to make use of unwanted gifts. This weekend December 26 and 27, 2015, eBay Valet’s pop-up selling stations will have everything needed to turn gifts into cash. Participants will be able to list items themselves or allow professional sellers from the eBay Valet service to sell unwanted gifts. eBay Valet handles everything from estimating the price to taking pictures, listing the item and safely shipping it to a new buyer. During Boxing Weekend only, eBay Valet fees will be waived, so customers who print an eBay Valet label will be able to keep 100% of the profits after their unwanted gifts are sold.
When it comes to holiday gifts, or gift for any occasion, it’s really the thought that counts, especially if the gift is from loved ones. Many people give something sentimental and put a lot of love and thought into selecting a gift for someone special, so they may not think of including a gift receipt. Some people may not be as thoughtful all the time, so for those who are a little too vocal about what they want for the holidays, eBay worked with The Onion to capture what happens when one gets too much of a good thing, and the joy that comes with selling all of the extras. Check out the video here.
