The Seahawks vs. Vikings live stream online and televised 2015 NFL game arrives on Sunday afternoon with both teams still in the hunt for a playoff spot in the NFC. Minnesota, currently boasting an 8-3 overall record, leads the NFC North, but Green Bay is right on their tails just a game back. Seattle, which was a runner-up in last year’s Super Bowl, has looked like anything but a top contender, but with a 6-5 record could still get into the playoffs as a Wild Card team. The latest 2015 NFL live streaming and TV coverage of this matchup arrives via Fox Sports networks on Sunday afternoon.
A Dec. 5 report via KomoNews.com indicates that Minnesota seems to be following in the footsteps of Seattle’s success in recent years with a low-turnover offense and a top notch rushing attack leading the way. Adrian Peterson currently leads the league in rushing with a total of 1,164 yards heading into Sunday’s game. That has his team as the best overall in the NFL in rushing with 1,610 yards tallied. Ironically, Seattle is second in the league in that category as they’ve totaled 1,586 yards heading into this key matchup on the schedule. The majority of those yards came from the trio of Thomas Rawls, the often-injured Marshawn Lynch, and dynamic quarterback Russell Wilson.
If the playoffs were starting today, both teams would be in the mix. Seattle would barely be there as they currently hold the sixth seed overall. Minnesota would be a third seed, but should they continue to win and Arizona suffers a few losses it could get to the point where the Vikings own a bye and some home field advantage. Right now they’re a game or so behind the Cardinals for that second seed overall. If Adrian Peterson can get another 125-plus yard game like he has in three of his last four, then this could be a home win for the Vikings that has the Seahawks in danger of losing a playoff spot.
Odds makers have the home team as +1 underdogs on the spread with the visitors as a slight favorite. The moneyline has Seattle as -130 favorites with the home team as +110 underdogs, while the over/under points total is set at 42 points for the game. In terms of future odds, Minnesota is a 16 to 1 favorite to win the Super Bowl in 2016, placing them sixth overall amongst the league. The Seahawks are just one spot below them on that list with odds of 18 to 1 to win it all, should they get into the playoffs.
