Tonight marks the second card of the Sam Houston Race Park thoroughbred meet. For all the legal wrangles with the state, the meet got off and running Friday night with a big crowd.
The track has another strong stakes schedule, lots of great events and it should be another successful meet.
Here are selections for Saturday night’s races. They are also available on the free tip sheet at the track and at shrp.com. We will provide picks over the next few days here as well. If there is enough interest, we will continue throughout the meet. If not, we will do them for the big racing days.
We will be at the track tonight from 7-9 in the ESPN zone if you want more details on the picks. If you are new to racing, the audio book Acing Racing 2016 will tell you everything you need to know to get started.
These are the same picks you will get on the tip sheet at the track. However, here we provide our favorite races and a couple additional horses to use in trifectas, superfectas, etc.
How the picks work: They are a projection of the most likely winners of the race in order of preference — not necessarily an exact projection of order of finish.
Good luck at the track.
