Sacrivox Productions presents the SoCal Metal Fest! The promoters of last Fall’s TestFest OC in Irvine, California are putting together an all-metal Christian lineup on Saturday, April 23 at the Newport Church in Irvine. Making their Orange County premiere will be Los Angeles’ own WorldView. The band features former members of veteran Christian metal groups Deliverance, Recon, and Sacred Warrior. These musicians had always talked about joining forces as they crisscrossed the country on tour with their former bands. Now, after years of talk, they finally found the time to get together in the studio, and they are premiering their new Metal sound and powerful message for the first time at the SoCal Metal Test Fest!
Other headliners include the pioneering platinum-selling band BloodGood, who have been thrilling Christian metal fans for 30 years since their 1986 self-titled release. Straight out of Central California, Join The Dead will feature former members of Deliverance and Fasedown as a part of their lineup. Other bands include Chaotic Resemblance, Wickeds End, Tempest, and an acoustic set from The Midst 777 to round out the evening of music and ministry.
Sacrivox Productions was founded in 2001, when Matthew and Charles Tanksley began working on the idea of promoting Christian concerts at their church. They were joined by Anthony Gober, Samuel Vela, and Mario Almador Trujillo to form a partnership to develop events that would further the gospel of Jesus Christ through Rock ‘N Roll and Heavy Metal Christian music, while bringing back the once-thriving Southern California Christian concert industry.
Sacrivox partner Samuel Vela said, “Southern California lost its Christian concert connection many years ago, and we’re trying to bring it back to what it used to be. We are also trying to create a buzz for our new website, SoCalChristianConcerts.com. We want to be Southern California’s source for Christian concert information.”
SoCalChristianConcerts is a go-to place for concert enthusiasts to find out what’s happening in the realm of Christian music, find an album or band information, and review concerts they have attended.
“The site is interactive and forum-based, and it will list future events,” Vela said. “So if people know of a local concert or want to submit a review of a concert, they can post it to the site.”
Sacrivox has plans to mount future concerts around Rap and Alternative bands, and the partners are in the process of mounting a 2016 Test Fest OC. Metalheads and other music lovers can also follow SoCalChristianConcerts on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
