Ocean Shores is a seaside city that sits along Washington’s central coast. One of its biggest draws is a 6-mile stretch of sandy beach, where visitors can swim, build sandcastles, fly kites or stroll at their leisure. Recreational vehicle enthusiasts enjoy coming to the Ocean Shores area, as it has several oceanfront RV resorts that have numerous desirable amenities, and they are close to the area’s best attractions, events and activities.
K/M Resorts of America
K/M Resorts of America has two RV resorts in the Ocean Shores area — Ocean Breeze Resort and Ocean Mist Resort. Both are in nearby Ocean City, Washington, which is less than 5 miles away from Ocean Shores’ go-carting track and bowling alley. Ocean Mist Resort sits on a 400-foot oceanfront property and has a lush forest setting that outlines the property. It is open year-round, has a basketball and pickleball court and a playground. Ocean Breeze Resort also sits along Washington’s State Route 109, enclosed within a 170-acre forested property. This resort has more than 200 campsites, a miniature golf course, a sauna, swimming pool and a kids’ gaming room.
Copalis Beach RV Resorts
Copalis Beach, nicknamed “home of the razor clam,” is a small community about 10 miles north of Ocean Shores. It has three RV resorts on State Route 109, a Washington highway that runs parallel to the Pacific Ocean. The Driftwood RV Resort has roomy, 80-foot concrete pull-through RV sites, as well as 60-foot back-in sites. Visitors can hook up to the property’s cable TV and Wi-Fi during their stay. The Dunes Beach Resort has 28 full hook-ups, fire pits, clam cleaning facilities, a horseshoe pit and a children’s sandbox. Tidelands Resort and Campground is a year-round property, is pet-friendly, and this includes pet horses and the occasional mule. Visitors can also go tubing at nearby Conner Creek or the Copalis River, as well as fishing or clamming.
Westport RV Resorts
About an hour from Ocean Shores, Westport sits on the south side of Grays Harbor peninsula and is home to a large marina. It is also a popular location for surfing and has been dubbed Washington’s “Surf City” by locals. The American Sunset RV and Tent Resort is Westport’s only RV resort, and it sits along the oceanfront with a designated pet walk along the front of the expansive property. In addition to the resort’s amenities of a heated swimming pool, a playground and a horseshoe pit, the city of Westport features a variety of entertaining activities. You can surf, take a whale-watching tour, go horseback riding, or visit the city’s aquarium or maritime museum.
Ocean City RV Resorts
In Ocean City, which is just a few minutes north of Ocean Shores, visitors will find a couple more RV resorts. The Oceana RV and Camping Resort is an oceanfront property with 100 RV sites, horse stalls, a picnic area and playground. It is near a boat dock and marina where you can rent a charter boat. Other available rentals include bikes, mopeds, go-carts and dune buggies. The Ocean City RV Resort is pet-friendly and welcomes monthly renters. All of the RV sites are concrete with a fire pit and patio, and include a supplied set of table and chairs. The beach is just a short walk away where you can go clam digging, horseback riding, kite flying and beachcombing.
