On Tuesday the 26th of January in 2016, Re-Think hosted their quarterly real estate networking event at the library within Poets Modern Cocktails and Eats at Hotel Indigo Baltimore. It was the biggest gathering for Urban Development Leaders of this Winter. Who knew one hotel library could host some many thinkers, planners, and doers in all areas of urban development. RE-Think, is a one stop shop for everything concerning real estate development initiatives, innovative products where technology intersects with real estate, and initializing creative collaborations through a monthly meeting where attendees share thoughts and ideas with each other.
Did you know? Re-Think, The Real Estate Think Tank (previously identified as Real Cocktail) is a networking experience that seeks to unite innovators in real estate with academics and policymakers with the purpose of promoting creative development and dialogue in urban planning.
The networking event took place from 5:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. serving cocktails and dynamic discussions led by urban development leaders. Attendees were given one drink ticket per person and several attendees enjoyed the Poets Modern Cocktails and Eats at Hotel Indigo Baltimore happy hour specials after the event. The Poet’s Modern Martinis was flowing from every corner of the hotel library. The coolest part of it all was enjoying Re-Think’s February event theme: Hacking the System for Innovation. Re-Think event speakers addressed the concept of Hacking Regulations in Urban Development.
Talk about a very informative meeting full of architects, developers, investors, policymakers and professionals in all areas of real estate development. Just to recap the evening of events, speakers key discussion points: how to find funding resources for urban development, how to pitch ideas for real problems in urban development, why real estate professionals should be familiar with real estate information websites and local city mapping software and lastly, what should be the main purpose for providing high impact solutions to urban development. The bottom line is the urban landscape in America is a major fixer upper. Architects, developers, investors, policymakers and professionals in all areas of real estate development have to work together to fund and fix-up the urban landscape in America for the greater good of all Americans and urban development must include ideas that solve real world problems that matter.
Another cool highlight of that insightful event was exploring and enjoying the Poets Modern Cocktails and Eats at Hotel Indigo Baltimore. Keep in mind, attendance at RE-Think’s “Hacking the System for Innovation” Mixer & Speaker Series in Historic Mt. Vernon of Baltimore, Maryland was the perfect opportunity to meet professionals in the real estate industry who influence policy, lead innovation in real estate and provide high impact solutions to urban development.
