Restaurants Across LA Will Donate A Portion of Sales to Support Project Angel Food and Provide Free Meals to People Suffering From Serious Illness
Project Angel Food today announced ‘Eat. Drink. Be An Angel Day’ on Wednesday, April 20. This annual fundraising initiative offers restaurateurs and diners the opportunity to come together to support those in need, with restaurants donating a portion of sales from this day to the organization, which provides free nutritious meals delivered daily for homebound individuals around Los Angeles suffering from serious illness.
Participating restaurants for ‘Eat. Drink. Since its inception in 1989, Project Angel Food has delivered more than 10 million meals to men, women and children who are debilitated by disease and struggling with life-threatening illnesses such as cancer, heart disease, renal failure and HIV/AIDS. The organization provides vital food and nutrition services, including medically tailored meals and nutritional counseling, and delivers daily meals throughout the 4,000 square-mile radius of Los Angeles County.
