First published in 1956 by Woman’s Day, the Princess Grace baby sweater has become quite the icon knitting pattern for newborn babies. In the rush to publish, a printing error in the pattern was overlooked in “By a Princess knitting for a Princess.” Kindly pointed out by a loyal reader*, the correct top down baby sweater pattern is below.

*Errata: First published on byteclay.com in June 2010, on a platform I cannot access to delete or edit as “Princess Grace top down baby sweater pattern.” In top down yoke shaping, there was a duplicate “right sleeve” instruction, which I am sure would not deter an experienced knitter, but, in any case, is correct now as it reads above. Thank you loyal reader for taking the time to write.
