You don’t have all of the answers so stop pretending like you do. How do you prepare yourself for something you feel you want but know in your heart that at this present moment you are not ready for it.
Tears and crying is one way you are moved into being. It is one way to get you to move when you are scared to death of what is yet to come. The element of water allows spirit to go in the flow. For you to let go of the soil or in some instances in clay to which you are so firmly grounded and attached in, crying is the best way of action. Like something stuck in the ground, pouring water on it is the best way to get it to release it from the soil. The more tears you cry the more tight your hold to the person, place and time or experience. You are being moved/positioned with great care by the universe.
Crying to most folks appears to be a very non-action thing to do in preparedness for anything but in light of the soul, it knows better. Trust the change. Trusting seems like a strange place to be or thing to ask for too in a time of transition, especially depending on how the change came about.
Calm and stillness. If you Google preparing yourself for greatness you will find a long list of things to do to push and shove the universe back into your corner. Know that the universe is already in your corner and it knows where you need to be at this very moment. In my own life, I prayed and surrendered, and I surrendered and I prayed. When I know longer knew what to pray for because my whole life and the people dearest to me appeared to have left me. I prayed for God to use me as he best saw fit.
Lots of just breathing one second at a time and lots of meditation. The universe seemed to be saying to me don’t get too attached here because it too will be leaving you. Change came fast and hard and it was continuous. Daily, every hour some days. You will not be able to plan ahead for much. ‘m pretty sure that was the idea too to get me to live in this present moment. Don’t look back buttercup and don’t get too staunch in your plans for your future. It was like a hurricane. Just when I thought I could no longer breathe or take one more step up the long flight, hasn’t she had enough already, a condition or way would be made for me. A way for me to recognize, to have the strength and to make the non-stop action necessary. Is this what doing the work means?
The right food, the right manna, the right furniture and clothing. I will tell you that what has happened in your past is your strength, grit and character to handle it. Your ability to work within yourself is what is most needed. What is needed is your willingness to work with the signs, your dreams, events, flowers, nature, the weather, your intuition, animals, people, the sky, televisions shows, your car or how you get around, your money, your work, your creativeness, your silence, your ability to listen, to really hear, and where you rest your head at night. You will need to be willing and sometimes not, to adjust to the flow of having these things or not having them at all, or partially having them. You need to be humble. You need to find your voice. You need to use it at just the right moment. You need to be willing to help others when you feel you couldn’t possibly help another human being, because you are so sure you have nothing left at all to give. You need to be willing to live in complete discomfort. Like it or not.
There is always something to give whether you can see it or not. This is powerful, a powerful statement and truth. For the places and times you might hear it is not about you, when you are working from the universe within, it is all about you. Your forgiveness, your love, your light, your help, your compassion, your anger, your action, the changes you asked for. The nearest example I can think is for this is from the movie “Michael,” with John Travolta in which he plays Archangel Michael. When John Hurts character says something to hurt Andie McDowell’s character. It appears to be all about him and his hurt to him. But Michael the angel tells Hurt to tell McDowell he is sorry. To which he feels he is entitled to not do because of how things happened. The apology is important and it changes everything that happens from that point on. It’s the little things, the details of which we do not give our greatest attention because we are always thinking it is something else. What we need to do is slow down and feel the moment and all of the details that come with it.
Even that movie, is about an unexpected wisdom, coming from what appears to be a person who smokes, drinks and the like, yet the supernatural is all around him. He in part shows the characters in the movie how to read the signs and to provide unconditional (brotherhood) love for each other.
How do you prepare for greatness? How do you prepare for the unexpected, for the rug to be pulled out from underneath you. For you to even question your own madness and sanity at times. To be shown and to feel what is real and the truth which you stand in. Why was I in the position for years and years time to not be able to rely on anything or anybody? If nothing else it was so I would be able to come back to me, rely on me, to know me and to trust me. And to be prepared for the greatness that is to come.
