Anna Duggar, who’s reportedly pregnant with her fifth child, attended an anti-abortion march with Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar as husband Josh remains in sex-addiction rehab. A smiling Anna was photographed with the Duggar family as they protested at a pro-life event in Little Rock, Arkansas, Jan. 17.
“Our family had a great time today at the annual Arkansas Right to Life Pro-Life March in Little Rock!” the Duggars wrote on Facebook. “Every child is a beautiful creation of God!”
In the group photo, Anna looks happy and healthy as posed alongside sisters-in-law Jessa Duggar Seewald and a gaggle of children. Anna, who has been raising her four children alone after Josh checked into rehab in August 2015, recently revealed she’s not considering divorce because she’s committed to saving her marriage.
Sources told Life & Style she’s happy to be pregnant again because she believes it’s a sign from God. The Duggars’ hit TV show, “19 Kids and Counting” was canceled in May 2015 after old police reports revealed Josh had sexually molested five underage girls, including his sisters Jessa and Jill.
As the family was reeling from that blast from the past, a new sex scandal erupted in November 2015 when porn star Danica Dillon filed a $500,000 lawsuit claiming Josh had sexually battered her, and their sex encounters felt like rape. Josh denied having sex with Danica and remains in hiding as the scandal unfolds.
Meanwhile, rumors are flying that the Duggars are filming another TV special after they were spotted being followed around by TLC cameras in Arkansas. Not surprisingly, TLC wants to capitalize on the ratings success of “Jill & Jessa: Counting On” with another TV show.
Neither the Duggars nor TLC have confirmed whether another TV show is in the works, but executives are clearly interested in more TV specials like the three-part “Jill & Jessa: Counting On” series, which got high ratings (more than 2.2 million viewers).
“We are still considering doing more but haven’t made a decision yet,” said TLC executive vice president Nancy Daniels.
The Duggar family was criticized for exploiting Anna’s marital problems and Josh’s sex scandals to boost ratings for “Jill & Jessa: Counting On,” which aired in December 2015. The show was supposed to focus on Jessa Duggar Seewald and her sister Jill Duggar Dillard, but Anna became a key storyline because of the public interest following Josh’s cheating and child molestation scandals.
More than 1,000 companies pledged not to advertise on “Jill & Jessa: Counting On,” but the public outrage only fueled more interest in the show. Despite the public outcry, Jim Bob and Michelle are happy to pimp out their children because they’re reportedly going broke after losing much of their income when “19 Kids and Counting” was canceled.
The Duggars earned $25,000 to $45,000 per episode of “19 Kids and Counting.” They also reportedly lost over $25 million in 2015 as a result of lost book deals, endorsements and speaking engagements stemming from their TV show’s cancellation. Still, Jim Bob maintains a private jet even though no one in the family has a job.
