A few days ago People Magazine reported that socialite Tinsley Mortimer was arrested for trespassing on her boyfriends property. However, friends told the magazine that the charge made no sense. Afterall, according to friends, Mortimer and Fanjul have had an on-and-off relationship for years.
After gaining stardom as one of the most beautiful socialites in the world, friends said that Mortimer suddenly disappeared from the social scene after meeting Fanjul, who lives in Palm Beach. Now, Radar Online has uncovered a shocking police report that details an eyewitness account of a scary incident involving Alexander Nicholas Fanjoul, AKA Nico Fanjul, as he chased Mortmer down the street, ultimately throwing her to the ground and slamming her head into the pavement.
Sadly, the national media convicted Mortimer in the court of public opinion by running wild with a sensational, ‘Socialite fallen from grace’ angle before any real facts emerged. The story was covered internationally in the most popular outlets and it seems they all owe Ms. Mortimer an apology. The Radar Online article includes the full police report which details the counter-narrative, via an unrelated third party eye-witness who detailed Mortimer’s violent attack.
Some of the shocking details in the police report include: A neighbor of Fanjul’s witnessed him chasing Mortimer down the street and slamming her head into the pavement. Police note that Fanjul seemed intoxicated when they arrived to interview him at the scene. Police searched for Mortimer but could not find her. Shockingly, the police did not obtain a search warrant to enter Fanjul’s home. A law enforcement official who spoke on condition of anonymity said, “The Palm Beach Police Department should have obtained a search warrant. The last time Mortimer was seen, a third party witness saw her being chased down the street, and when Fanjul caught her, he slammed her head into the pavement. In the report, Mortimer admitted that she was running away from Fanjul because she was scared of him. I can’t think of another case where a third-party eyewitnesses an attack on a woman and yet when Police arrive the scene and can’t find her, rather than obtain a search warrant to check if she is inside the home, or search the area for a dead body, they believe a man they feel to be intoxicated and issue a trespassing warning, and buy his story that the woman scratched him. It does not add up and the PD should open up an investigation into how this occurred because this is unacceptable.
According to People Magazine, Fanjul was just with Mortimer the night before he had her arrested for ‘trespassing,’ which was apparently based on the warning he gave police years ago when they said he seemed inoxicated. As new details emerge, it is becoming clear that Mortimer was not only apparently physically abused, it appears as though she has also been framed.
Fans have expressed words of encouragement for Mortimer during this most difficult time. This story proves that no matter who you, or where you come from, domestic violence is universal and can affect anyone.
