Prince George’s County police have identified 26-year-old Julius Brown of Washington, D.C. as the man who was shot and killed last night in the area of Frank’s Tavern on Kenilworth Avenue. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case.
Police were summoned to the 1700 block of Kenilworth Avenue at Eastern Avenue around 10:40 p.m. That is where officers found Brown in a parking lot suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to Prince George’s Hospital Center where he died several hours later.
According to a police news release late Friday afternoon, detectives are still working to establish a motive and identify the suspect(s). The Chesapeake Today has been reporting about this murder and others in the county.
