The Houston vs. Florida State live stream online and televised Peach Bowl 2015 game takes place on New Years Eve day ahead of the two college football playoffs semifinals games. However, the Cougars and Seminoles will play in a matchup featuring two teams with a combined three losses this past season. FSU nearly entered into the equation for the playoffs, while Houston racked up an impressive 12-1 record this past season. The latest bowl game will be part of the 2015 NCAA football live stream and televised coverage coming from ESPN on Thursday afternoon.
According to Sports Illustrated in their Dec. 29 report, this game will feature explosive running back Dalvin Cook for the Florida State Seminoles who led the ACC in total rushing yards, rushing touchdowns and yards per carry. On his season, Cook had 211 carries for 1,658 yards and 18 touchdowns to help lead his team to a 10-2 record. He also battled through ankle and hamstring injuries during his season but has now had some time to rest as the team has had a month off since its last game, a blowout win against the Florida Gators. It’s been said that Houston will need to contain Cook to have a better chance at a win on Thursday, but Cook may be well rested and ready to emerge as the hero in this one.
For Houston, they hail from the American Athletic West conference where they finished first overall, losing just once all season. That loss came to the Connecticut Huskies in a stretch of four games which also saw the Cougars defeat ranked foes Memphis, Navy and Temple. Houston is led by dynamic quarterback Greg Ward Jr. who put up 2,590 yards and 16 touchdowns on his season. Ward Jr. also led the team in rushing yards with 1,041 total yards on 178 carries and 19 touchdowns. His dual-threat nature will be what FSU will be keying in on to try to prevent the upset in this potentially entertaining matchup.
Odds makers have the Seminoles listed as favorites by a touchdown for this matchup. On the moneyline, Florida State is priced as -250 favorites, while the Cougars are +230 underdogs. Against the spread, Houston is 8-5-0 overall, while FSU is 8-4-0 overall. As an underdog Houston’s been 2-0, while FSU is 7-4 as the favorite. Thursday’s over/under points total is set at 56 for the complete game which will take place at the Georgia Dome.
