International “Pay It Forward Day” arrives next month on April 28 and aims to inspire millions all over the world to give back. It’s one trend that’s igniting some incredible fashion statements which go beyond elegance and grace and actually redefines beauty as something tangible.
Reef, the longtime leading global trendsetter in surf style, launched a charity initiative this month known as We Heart. The humanitarian outreach program shines a light on the brand’s signature style of giving back. We Heart’s mission is to promote education, support community development and preserve natural resources for different cities and cultures around the world.
Recently, Reef Abassadors Rob Machado and Brinkley Davies connected with the children at Jodie O’ Shea’s Orphanage in Bali. In addition to spending time with the kids, Reef donated $11,500 to repair the roof of the orphanage and to install water purifiers for clean drinking water.
If you want to be a part of Reef’s We Heart efforts you can follow the movement on social media. Use #ReefWeHeart and join the conversation with communities all over the world that share in Reef’s vision.

On Wednesday, March 30 the “2nd Annual Babes In Toyland – Pet Edition”, is happening at Avalon in Hollywood. Proceeds benefit CARE Rescue L.A., a remarkable charity whose focus goes to help save animals in need and also raises awareness to help keep animals off the streets and out of shelters.
The founder of CARE Rescue L.A., Kelle King told byteclay.com that she was 28 when she rescued her first dog – a deaf, beaten-up white pit bull with a bum back leg who was hours away from being euthanized. Kelle said that the feeling of being able to do that for a neglected animal and to be the reason they can now live a better life was the most incredible feeling.
Kelle, who is also a Los Angeles based photographer, along with her husband, actor and celebrity photographer, Michael King, have just launched the Bare for CARE campaign. Kelle said, “there are very real problems with very simple solutions if we all helped to raise awareness and shed some light on these issues. That’s the naked truth.”
This led to the idea of Bare for CARE. The photos feature real women with a purpose and heart who want to make a difference.
If you want to be a part of the campaign to raise awareness use #BareforCARE in your photos on social media. CARE stands for Compassion, Awareness, Responsibility, and Education. Kelle explained that all of these are so important to making a difference.
Whether you’re in beachwear, undergarments or baring it all, remember that true beauty is in kindness and love.
Reef’s We Heart mission is about caring for those in need. Follow the Reef Ambassadors on their travels and use #ReefWeHeart to join in the conversation on the global movement.
