Pamela Anderson is changing and trying a new career, to become a stand-up comedian, according to Fox News, April 16, 2016. Pamela had five minutes to get the audience laughing on Thursday night as she hosted “Gotham Comedy Live” that was simultaneously broadcast live on the AXS network.
Many remember Pamela Anderson as a former Baywatch star where she played the role of a sexy lifeguard, C.J. Parker. She had the part from 1992 through 1997 where her main clothes consisted of skimpy, figure-hugging swimwear.
“I’ve always wanted to try stand-up because I was inspired by all the great female comedians we’ve had: there’s Joan Rivers, Phyllis Diller, Andy Dick,” she said poking fun at the only male name in her list.
“Did you see that Hulk Hogan got $115 million for his sex tape?” she asked the audience of the wrestler’s recent lawsuit. “That p***ed me off! All I got were some stupid Mötley Crüe tickets.”
Pamela was referring to the leaked sex tape she did on her honeymoon with Tommy Lee that leaked to the public in 1995. However, Pamela refused to make fun of certain people in her life like her family like her two sons, Brandon Thomas Lee, 19, and Dylan Jagger, 18 and she refused to joke about her ex-husbands, including Kid Rock and her good friend Madonna.
She also joked about herself and she does not believe that she will ever receive a lot of entertainment awards. “Let’s face it, the only way I’m getting an Oscar from Baywatch is if I find one in the sand with a metal detector.”
Pamela wants to distance herself from her Baywatch stereotype image and she reinforced her decision by turning down a role in the upcoming reboot movie of Baywatch.
Pamela Anderson made the decision to keep her two sons out of the spotlight so they can make their own decisions on what they want to do and the careers they want to pursue. In September 2015, she discussed her sons on “Today” concerning her decision to keep them out of the spotlight.
“They’re gonna make their own choices for the rest of their lives, and it wouldn’t be their own choice if we were dragging them down red carpets.”
Pamela continued, “I say, ‘You’re gorgeous, you’re talented, you got that down, [now] let’s work on humbleness, let’s work on, you know, education. …But they’re genetically loaded. They’re perfect gentlemen considering the gene pool.”
Pamela Anderson posed for playboy’s final nude issue after she received her son’s permission and they both told her to do it.
Will Pamela Anderson do well in her new career choice of stand-up comedy or will she always be remembered for her Baywatch role and Playboy pictures? Would you pay to listen to her standup comedy routine ow is she better off staying in her acting career?
